Olena Ishchenko, lecturer of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the faculty of FPSC of Sumy State University, took part in the virtual course «English Academic Writing» within the framework of the project «Enhancement of The PhD Students Potential for Qualitative Research in Ukraine», which was financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

On November 28, the training course «The war in Ukraine on the maps» ended, in which Tetіana Kovalova, Аssociate professor of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the FРSC, students Anna Shpurik and Artem Korol took part. Teachers and students of journalism faculties and departments of Ukrainian higher education institutions and novice journalists from regional media were also invited.

Oleksandr Gorda, a post-graduate student, assistant of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the Faculty FРSC of Sumy State University, took part in the virtual course “Virtual Class on Grant-Funded Research” within the framework of the “Enhancement of The PhD Students Potential for Qualitative Research in Ukraine” project.

Iryna Zhylenko and Olena Ishchenko, lecturers of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the Faculty of FРSC of Sumy State University, took part in the international forum on virtual learning “International Forum on Virtual Teaching and Learning: Harnessing Hyflex and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) Developing Global Citizens”, which was organized by Camarines Polytechnic Colleges Sur (Philippines), Sumy State University (Ukraine) and Prince of Songkla University (Thailand).

On November 7, 2022, students, postgraduate students and teachers of four Ukrainian universities met to discuss the issue of academic integrity in the Ukrainian scientific and educational space.

Students, postgraduate students, teachers and employees of the department of journalism and philology of the FРSC of Sumy State University took an active part in writing the All-Ukrainian radio dictation of national unity.

Alla Fedorina, associate professor of the department of journalism and philology of the FPSC Sumy State University, took part in the fall school organized by the Moldova Institute Leipzig (MIL) on the topic "Strengthening proposals for media competence in public television and radio broadcasting." Training within the framework of the project "Strengthening media competence offers in the public law of Rundfunk" took place in Leipzig, Hamburg and Berlin.

Olena Ishchenko, lecturer of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the FPSC Sumy State University, took part in the open lecture of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) "Finding additional work for researchers – opportunities of the Polish labor market, also outside the science and technology sector."

On October 14, students of the department of journalism and philology of Sumy State University, educational program "Advertising and public relations", took part in a master class by Ukrainian advertiser Viktor Synkov, copywriter of the "banda" agency.

Doctor of Philosophy degree holders and teachers of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the Faculty of  FPSC  Sumy State University took part in the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical online conference "Regional Journalism in Ukraine: History, Realities, Challenges, Prospects."

Alla Yarova, associate professor of the department of journalism and philology of the FPSC of Sumy State University, won a scholarship from the Volkswagen Foundation. During the year, she will work as part of an international group of researchers at the Stuttgart Media School. This educational institution is a state university of applied sciences and prepares specialists of a broad profile to work in the modern media world.

On the eve of the All-Ukrainian Library Day, students of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the FPSC Sumy State University visited the walls of the temple of priceless sources - the Sumy Regional Universal Scientific Library. The old tradition of such warm visits was continued by the first-year students under the guidance of the associate professor of the department, a sincere friend of the library, Iryna Zhilenko.
