On May 25-26, the II scientific and practical conference of students, postgraduate students and young scientists “Contemporary Mass Communication Space: History, Realities, Prospects” was held at the Department of Journalism and Philology of the FPSC of Sumy State University. Based on the results of the conference, a collection of scientific papers was prepared.

The publication included the researches of young scientists, graduate students and students who participated in the conference. A total of 23 publications by 34 authors. In their scientific and research works, they reveal the issues of communication in TikTok, information and psychological operations, the specifics of media coverage of the topic of prisoners of war, political PR during the russian-Ukrainian war, national symbols in Ukrainian commercial advertising, “biological weapons” in the propaganda anti-Ukrainian war, the development of the interview genre in the Ukrainian-language segment of YouTube, the media culture of the information space of small cities of Ukraine, coverage of the Internet new realities of school education, etc.

The topic is related to the comprehensive program of scientific research works of Sumy State University, directly with the scientific direction of research of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the PFSC within the framework of the topic “Contemporary Mass Communication Space: History, Realities, Prospects”.
