Post-graduate students of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the  FРSС of Sumy State University Nataliya Gaidur, Eleonora Kryvka, Darya Haramurza defended their dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge 06 “Journalism” in the specialty 061Journalism”. The work was carried out under the supervision of Doctor of Science, Professor Olga Mitchuk.

Natalia Haydur studied the structural and organizational factors of interpretive journalism. Eleonora Kryvka presented the topic “Modern travel media text in the Ukrainian infospace: topic, format, content” for consideration by members of the specialized council. Darya Haramurza focused on the topic “Mass media factor of literary criticism of Ukraine (1995-2015)”.

Two specialized scientific councils were headed by Professor Volodymyr Sadivnychiy, another by Professor Iryna Zhуlenko. Associate professors of the department Yaroslav Yanenko, Olena Sushkova, Tetyana Kovalоva and others acted as reviewers. Maria Butyrina and Maria Komova, Nataliya Poplavska and Nataliya Zykun, Lidia Snitzarchuk and Maria Rozhilo were appointed to the doctoral students.

– Five defenses of theses by our graduate students in an incomplete academic year is a great confirmation of the scientific component of the team. I congratulate the graduate students, I congratulate the scientific director, I congratulate the staff of the department. We are developing comprehensively and thoroughly! – remarked the head of the department Volodymyr Sadivnychiy.
