The first meeting of the “Language Circle” club took place. The project is implemented by the Sumy regional organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), the Sumy regional universal scientific library, the Department of Journalism and Philology of the FРSС of Sumy State University.

The meeting was held on the basis of the user service department of the Sumy Regional Universal Scientific Library. It was attended by Volodymyr Sadivnychiy – head of the department, head of the Education Department of NUJU, Alla Fedorуna – associate professor of the department, member of the secretariat of the Department of Education of NUJU, Olena Bondarenko – senior lecturer of the department, candidate of philological sciences.

They discussed the problem area of future meetings, focused attention on the environmental friendliness of broadcasting, analyzed the reference literature, cited examples of blatant illiteracy, argued about what is appropriate – that’s what the first meeting was like.

In general, people gather in a circle to feel supported, respected, to overcome doubts and disdain, to chat, ask questions or simply smile. This is exactly what happened on the first, starting day, the meeting of the club. And it is known – as you start a business, so it will continue.

Therefore, the purpose of the meetings is to motivate, interest, guide, and help adults switch to the Ukrainian language in work, study, communication with friends and in the family; improve speaking skills; familiarize with the resources that can be used for the transition to Ukrainian, etc. – decided to implement in an atmosphere of camaraderie and perseverance, ease and absolute absence of coercion.
The next meeting of the “Language Circle” club is scheduled for January 31. The Department of Journalism and Philology of the Faculty of FРSС of Sumy State University, the School of Education of National State University of Applied Sciences, the Sumy Regional Universal Scientific Library invite everyone to join.
