At the department of journalism and philology of the Faculty of FРSС of Sumy State University, defenses of master’s qualification theses were held. Traditionally, the vast majority of what is presented for protection are real media products.

The proposed informational future and already implemented projects relate to targeted advertising, popularization of the comics industry in Ukraine, development of brand books, creation of own advertising agencies, etc. Undoubtedly, several works related to the current Russian-Ukrainian war. In particular, the masters paid attention to the information strategy and tactics of utility companies during the war, graphoderivation in modern mass communication, the influence of Russian propaganda on European mass media.

Most of the works are protected in English, and several were commissioned by organizations.

Sharing her impressions, master’s student Kateryna Bykova remarked:

– Thank you to the teachers and staff of the graduation department for all the years of study, for the knowledge that we have gained together with you, for the positive attitude towards students!

Being far from Ukraine, master’s students Tetyana Sipchenko and Yuliya Bykovchenko wished Victory and expressed hope for a quick return to their homeland to work for its development and prosperity.

By the decision of the examination board, the educational degree "Master" was awarded to Nadiya Baidak, Kateryna Bykova, Yulia Bykovchenko, Lolita Dovgopol, Angelina Korsun, Anna Pogrebnii, Daria Slabko, Tetyana Sipchenko, Anna Tolstosheeva, Oleksia Tucha, Yulia Shumylo.

The examination commission included Professor Volodymyr Sadivnychiy, associate professors Inna Havrylyuk, Tetyana Kovaleva, and Yaroslav Yanenko. The examiners were headed by Tetyana Fedoriv, deputy head of the board of the NGO “Hromadske Radio”, editor-in-chief, doctor of sciences in public administration.

According to the results of the master's theses defenses, Tetyana Kovalоva stated:

– Despite the challenges of today, it is very nice that the master’s students implemented their ideas and presented professional works. I thank them for fruitful cooperation, effective work, I wish you a bright victorious road, because #media_space_leads_to_the_universe

The basic principle of professional training of mass media workers at the Department of Journalism and Philology of the Faculty of FРSС of Sumy State University is not only professed, but also strictly adhered to and cultivated. Defenses of master’s theses were once again convinced of this.
