As a part of the grant project "DESTIN – Journalism education for Democracy in Ukraine: Development of standards, integrity, and professionalism", an international team of experts visited the Department of Journalism and Philology of SSU

The topic of the meeting was the content and structure of the educational programs for students-journalists, the practical component of program provision and the prospects of journalism of the future.

For the full and objective assessment of the state of journalistic education, the quality of the future specialists' training, the experts talked with teachers, students, graduates of the department, and employers, familiarized with the material and technical provision of the department.

Let us remind: the goal of the "DESTIN" project is to coordinate the curriculum for journalism in Ukraine with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), including the European standards of integrity and professionalism, to improve the connection between students and the media industry.
