At the department of journalism and philology of the FPSC SSU, people remembered, smiled, hid tears, thanked, wished success... And it was called - awarding diplomas to bachelor graduates.

The order on awarding a bachelor's degree and deducting from the number of students, which was read by the dean of the IFSK faculty Olena Sushkova, sounded on July 6 at the department of journalism and philology. Half a hundred graduates of the “Journalism” and “Advertising and Public Relations” educational programs received diplomas. And, by the way, six - with honors! They are Anastasia Dedova, Diana Zubar, Maria Krykunenko, Vladyslava Krytska, Karina Chornobuk and Zoreslava Shedenko.

The awarding of diplomas took place in a family atmosphere. Students and teachers together remembered bright and touching moments from their studies, joked, and exchanged wishes. Graduates thanked for the guidance, patience, support and knowledge gained during the years of study.

- We experienced everything... Both through the camera, and through the phones, and in the classrooms. We tried to be as close as possible. By any means, - commented Tetyana Chekotylo after the celebrations.

- Student years gave me a lot: knowledge, friends, experience, emotions and impressions. Now I already work on television. And this is thanks to the Department of Journalism, Valeriya Barykina added.

Graduate Zoreslava Shedenko spoke very aptly about her student years:

- These four years have taken off those rose-colored glasses with which we left school and put on glasses through which we see the world better.
In addition, the girl noted that distance learning, which made up most of these four years, did not particularly affect the quality of education or student life:

- Despite the war and quarantine, we still learned what we had to learn.
At the end, mass media bachelors played an interesting skit “teachers through the eyes of students”, where, without naming names, they tried to show how they see their mentors. Most of the “images” were guessed without error, and some had to be carefully considered.

Most of the graduates emphasize that they intend to continue their education with a master’s degree, so they will be able to return to their desks in September.

The graduates of the department of journalism and philology of the FPSC SSU were welcomed by the director of the regional TV channel “Vidikon” Nataliya Bratushka. The representative of the stakeholders wished the young cohort of qualified specialists to always be confident in themselves and their own abilities, because this is the most important thing not only in the profession of a journalist, but also in life in general.

The Head of the Department of Journalism and Philology, Doctor of Sciences in Social Communications, Volodymyr Sadivnychiy, wished to “Feel like a profession and feel needed by society”.
