Traditionally, at the second stage of the competition, the department sends three works - the best according to the results of the first stage of the Competition. After the peer review in absence, two works of the journalists – Marina Sadymaka "Introduction of a new Ukrainian spelling on the pages of the newspaper "DEN" (on the example of the use of feminitivits)" (the scientific supervisor – senior lecturer Olena Bondarenko) and Leila Vyshnyak "Language manifestations of the author's presence in the information media content" (the scientific supervisor - assoc. prof. Olga Sydorenko).

The participants presented their scientific achievements during the scientific and practical conference held online. Both the content of the report, the presentation of the main results, the quality of illustrative material, and the ability to debate, ask questions, defend their own position were evaluated.

Based on the results of the expert review and oral tour, the Branch Commission of the Competition on the Ukrainian Language decided to award Leila Vyshnyak with the 2nd-degree diploma for her work "Linguistic manifestations of the author's presence in the information media content" and determined the work of Marina Sadymaka as the best in the nomination "Relevance of the topic".

Kateryna Gorodenska, a member of the Branch Commission of the Competition on the Ukrainian Language, the Head of the Grammar and Scientific Terminology Department of the Institute of Ukrainian Language of NAS of Ukraine, highly appreciated the level of all works submitted to the Competition, noted the breadth and suppleness of the scientific thinking of the contestants, the diversity of scientific interests. The scientist expressed her deep gratitude to the supervisors for their tireless work, instilling love for the Ukrainian word and its scientific study.

- This is my first experience - to participate in such an event, - said Leila Vyshnya. – This was extremely interesting because there were so many new topics, vital issues. I was impressed by the activity of the students who asked questions. I tried to respond in such a way as to present the work decently, not to let the supervisor down, and I succeeded...

Congratulations to our participants on the victories! And we wish all students to expand their educational horizons, not be afraid to take on new things, do their best - and achieve what they have planned. After all, as Benjamin Franklin said, diligence is the mother of good luck.
