The final scientific and practical conference of the second round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in the specialty "Sociology" took place in Uzhhorod National University. Sumy State University was represented in the competition committee by Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Journalism and Philology Yaroslav Yanenko.

In total, 38 works from 23 higher education institutions were submitted to the competition. Student scientific works were evaluated by the branch competition commission, which included scientists from leading Ukrainian universities.

 – 9 student scientific works that were devoted to interesting and relevant topics of our time took part in the final of the competition, – says Yaroslav Yanenko, – in particular, these are gender stereotypes of modern students, the subculture of football fans, medical literacy in the consumer behavior of students, problems of large families, negative aspects of modern gaming, car harassment, etc. One of the most interesting works, in my opinion, was "The image of a successful person as an element of propaganda in modern Ukrainian cinema", which was among the winners.

Due to quarantine restrictions, the defense and evaluation of student scientific works were held online.
