What is it like to be a professional? It is to understand one's own media specialization and, above all, to remain a patriot of Ukraine. These were the main topics of practical classes of 2nd year students of the Department of Journalism and Philology, Faculty of FPSC SSU. On May 5, 2022, they met with Oleksandr Golizdra, owner of the Market.Info agency and head of the press service of the agricultural company KSG agro.

At the video conference, the guest told the students about himself, noting that he worked as the head of press services in industrial companies of the Ukrainian Donbass. After moving to the capital of Ukraine, he headed the public relations department of an investment company, a systemic bank, and was involved in media projects within the structure of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. He later headed a communications agency working with the country's energy, agricultural and industrial enterprises.

The guest emphasized the agenc’s cooperation with the agricultural company KSG agro, its main shareholder and head Serhiy Kasyanov. The mediator stressed that since the beginning of the war, farmers have been actively helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Territorial Defense of the Dnipropetrovsk region, where the production is located.

Students asked the guest not only about his professional activities, but also asked questions about many aspects of life in the warring country. Maria Rashevska - “How did your media colleagues behave after the war?”; Artem Korol - “Will there be further investments in the agricultural sector of Ukraine?”; Vadym Dzekunov - “What thematic specializations of journalism have most influenced the guest, given his wide range of activities?”; Alina Shevchenko - “Will there be a food crisis in domestic agricultural production, given the war?”, etc.

Oleksandr Golizdra answered each question in detail, noting that none of the media colleagues had betrayed the Motherland, all of them were actively involved in the information struggle against the enemy; after our Victory, investments in the agricultural sector of Ukraine will only increase; Regarding the thematic specializations of journalism, he noted that, first of all, it is worth knowing deeply the field you are writing about; and there will be no food crisis - Ukraine will have bread !!!

Following the conversation, all participants agreed that #Mediaspace_leads_to_the_universe, which means that the journalistic universe begins with professional standards, quality media and modern education.

It will be recalled that the Department of Journalism and Philology of the Faculty of FPSC SSU regularly organizes communication between students and stakeholders - leading experts and experts in their field.
