How to read from an autocue? How to communicate with the audience? These and other questions are answered for the students of the Department of Journalism and Philology of SSU during practicals in the disciplines "TV production", "Mastery of a radio and TV presenter". This time, an unusual format was added to the already more or less familiar one – the news, read by future media workers, was broadcast on the Facebook page of a training TV studio.

- Such a fairly new format of work was aimed, first of all, at making future journalists feel being in extreme conditions and able to work live, – the head of the studio "The 11th floor" Raisa Stoyan shares her thoughts. – In fact, work on television consists of work with the equipment by 90%, so the use of modern technologies is an integral part of the filming process. Despite some nuances that need to be improved, students, in my opinion, coped with their task confidently and quite successfully. I think it's a pretty useful experience for future media professionals.

Students-journalists also shared their impressions. They say that the experience of working live is not new for them, but still, there is something to work on.

- I used to broadcast live on Instagram, - a student of the group ZhT-81 Anastasia Diedova says, - but it was "child's plays." Working in a TV studio is a different experience. When the live broadcast started, I was worried, because I realized that not only my groupmates but also other students of SSU would look at me. However, such experience was invaluable, because it is very cool when the knowledge gained at the lectures can be strengthened in practice. It is these classes that prepare a journalist for real broadcasts on television, because they bring up our ingenuity, help to make friends with the camera and improve diction.

Future media professionals consider this format a challenge and point out that from now on it is thanks to it that it is easy to detect their weaknesses in pronunciation.

- Reading the news live, I was worried because I realized that it is no longer possible to rerecord the video, –a student of the group ZhT-81 Zoreslava Shedenko says and adds: – Such classes are quite useful because they give a practice that we will definitely need. Even if not everyone will be engaged in TV journalism in the future, the experience of working in the studio and the correct use of the camera will definitely not be superfluous. After such classes, I usually review my records and see those moments that need improvement. I hope that after mastering this course, each of us will see progress in the skills of working on television.

The television studio of the Department of Journalism continues to implement modern technologies into the educational process in order to expand the arsenal of skills of future reporters and TV presenters.
