A student of the specialty "Journalism" Karina Khachatarian took the third place at the 19th All-Ukrainian International Language and Literature Competition of Taras Shevchenko among schoolchildren and students.

The upcoming mass media specialist competed for the prize-winning place among the students who represented institutions of higher education in the humanitarian area of focus. The lecturer Natalia Prokopenko, PhD in philology prepared the student for the competition.

The lecturers of our department have prepared many winners. These are students of other faculties, institutes of the Sumy State University, who competed in the non-humanitarian section. The prize-winning places have also been won by Daniil Nikolayenko (the second place) - a student at the Faculty of Technical systems and energy-efficient technologies, was prepared by Natalia Prokopenko (PhD in philology), Natalia Brich (the second place) - a student of the Medical Institute, was prepared by Olga Hryshko (PhD in philology), Boris Meshkov (the third place), was prepared by Prof. Olena Tkachenko, the head of the Department of Journalism and Philology.
