It has just become known about the victory in the all-Ukrainian contest “Recovery of Ukraine: The Path to unity” of Daria LOBANOK, a graduate of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the Faculty of Foreing Philology and Social Communications Sumy State University.

The Initiative Centre held the competition for Promotion of Activity and Development of Public Initiatives “Yednannia” – a public organization that develops civil society and the culture of strategic philanthropy and strengthens initiatives to build democracy in Ukraine.

Daria Lobanok submitted an interview with Kharkiv urbanist Pavlo Khramov to the contest of journalistic works “Restoration of Ukraine: the path to unity”, published in the online edition of “Gvara Media”. The material is dedicated to the post-war reconstruction of Kharkiv. The publication was awarded for the best coverage of the vision of prospects for the recovery of Ukrainian cities with the involvement of the public.

The competition took place within the framework of the project “Strengthening the potential of local and regional journalists to inform about the recovery and European integration of Ukraine”, which is implemented by the ISAR “Unification” with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the USA. Its organizers and founders sought to support quality, objective journalism.

– The strongest, key opinion of the interview I prepared is as follows: to build a strong city, it is necessary to build a strong community, – commented the author of the material.

– It should be noted that Daria Lobanok was remembered as a conscientious student. Therefore, I wish our graduate to continue to do so, – summed up Raisa Stoyan, senior teacher of the department.

The victories of students and graduates are the best assessment, the best benchmark in the activities of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the FРSC of Sumy State University. This is the path where the #mediaspace_leads_to_the_universe.
