On November 1, 2023, the Department of Journalism and Philology of the FРSС hosted students who visited Sumy State University for an open day.

We presented our educational bachelor’s programs, watched the efforts of schoolchildren to demonstrate their journalistic abilities, gave advice and recommendations on behavior in the frame and correct pronunciation, listened to their questions and talked about the principles of studying at the Department of Journalism and Philology, etc.

Journalist students of the first and second years actively communicated with future applicants and encouraged them to perform practical tasks.

Schoolchildren had the opportunity to try themselves in the role of TV journalists – to record a stand-up on camera, and text editors – to eliminate existing errors. We also spoke with the head of the department Volodymyr Sadivnychіy, teachers Iryna Zhуlenko, Olena Ishchenko, Tetyana Kovalova, Raisa Stoyan, as well as with the dean of the FРSС Olena Sushkova.

– We want current high school students to understand the importance of finding themselves, and awareness of the indisputable fact that #media_space_leads_to_the_universe can help in this, – noted Volodymyr Sadivnychiy.
