"Give a book to Alma mater!" is the name of the public cultural initiative launched by Ukrainian journalists. The media workers are buying books – manuals and textbooks on television journalism – on their own funds and give to the families from institutions of higher education. Within the framework of the action, a Master graduate of the Department of Journalism and Philology, and now a representative of the National Council on television and radio in the Sumy region Larysa Yakubenko visited SumDU with presents

Larisa gave 18 new editions on television directing and digital over-the-air television to the University Library.

-The organizer of the charity relay, – says the guest, – is a well-known Ukrainian TV-broadcaster Vasyl Yatsura. He believes that professional books for future journalists should be given exactly by professionals.

The action is valid for four consecutive years and united 300 representatives of the media industry around the idea. Over these years, the university profile libraries have been replenished with 14 thousand copies of new editions.

It is worth noting that Larysa Yakubenko is also the chairman of the Expert Council of Employers of the Department of Journalism and Philology, specialty "Journalism".
