The third-year students made an event devoted to the Day of Remembrance of the Chornobyl tragedy. The future journalists and advertisers mentioned not only the sad events of 1986, but also talked about current environmental issues. The event was initiated by the associate professor of the Department of Journalism and Philology Svetlana Voropaj

The students mentioned the tragedy that occurred 33 years ago. The fact that this disaster was caused by two thermal explosions and the subsequent destruction of the fourth power unit of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, the heroes who first rushed to extinguish the fire, as well as about the measures that were taken on evacuation. All the dead were honored with a minute of silence.

In addition to the Chornobyl tragedy, the participants of the event also talked about the current environmental problems.
