The lecturer of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the Faculty of FРSC Sumy State University Olena ISHCHENKO became the speaker of the advanced training program «Virtual academic mobility using Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) technology: from idea to implementation».

The meeting took place in the format of a video conference at the initiative of the Center for the Development of Personnel Potential and the Office of International Cooperation of Sumy State University.

The program was created with the aim of disseminating the knowledge acquired during studies at the Winter School of the Alliance of Ukrainian Universities (Lviv) about the specifics and prospects of COIL technology, its importance for strengthening the international and cross-cultural competence of participants in the educational process. Olena ISHCHENKO together with Inna KOBLIANSKA and Viktoria PANKRATOVA told colleagues about the content and structure of COIL, helped them understand the basic procedures of project development, taught them how to use digital tools to implement the course, etc. Participants also received valuable advice on how to find potential partners.

In the report “Path to success: Implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the COIL course” Olena Ishchenko focused on the problematic issues of the COIL course and finding their solutions (preparation of a package of documents, organization of each of the stages of cooperation, intercultural component, linguistic and psychological barriers era, coordination of time, dates, formation of a team of teachers and students, implementation of the project) and monitoring, control and evaluation of the results of the COIL course.
