Arina Stolbtsova, a third-year student of the department of journalism and philology of the FРSC of Sumy State University, together with the senior teacher of the department Olena Bondarenko, started studying at the International School “Interdisciplinary Study in the Humanities”  (Poland).

Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań provides training for students, doctoral/postgraduate students and young scientists from partner Ukrainian higher education institutions. The project is financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchanges (NAWA).

– Today, a competitive specialist journalist must possess not only professional skills and competences, but also be knowledgeable in various fields of knowledge. Therefore, studying at the International School of Humanities is one of the ways to expand the range of skills and exchange experience with foreign colleagues, –  Olena Bondarenko noted.

The participants visited the Faculty of Political Sciences and Journalism, the Center for Advanced Technologies, the Faculty of History of the Adam Mickiewicz University, and exchanged experiences with foreign colleagues regarding the training of student journalists. Then they joined the lectures of professors Jakub Rybka and Lukasz Ruzytsky on the practical aspects of interdisciplinarity in the educational process.

Active international cooperation, the study and implementation of European experience to improve professional skills and self-improvement are a priority in the training of mass media students at the Department of Journalism and Philology of the FРSС Faculty of Sumy State University.
