The lecturers of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the FРSC of Sumy State University (Tetyana Kovalova, Volodymyr Sadivnychyi, Inna Sypchenko, Olena Sushkova) took part in the work of the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Ukrainian Journalism in the Global Information and Communication Context: Achievements and Prospects”, which took place on 24-25 November in Kyiv. The event was organized by the Department of History of Journalism of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko KNU, celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. Therefore, the conference was dedicated to congratulating the birthday department.

The internship continued three days. The first two days the project participants were directly in the editorial office of the newspaper "TAZ". The meetings were held in the format of trainings. On the third day the Ukrainian fact-checkers were outside of the editorial office.

During the first meeting, trainers suggested discussing topics such as the history of formation and the features of the German press. The second meeting concerned the issue of protecting user data while working in Internet. The last day of the internship, according to Artem, was the most interactive and again informative. The project participants met the Armenian journalist Tigran, who devotes considerable time to the issue of the situation in Ukraine and its relations with Russia. The journalist conducted parallels, including the example of a war in Nagornii Karabakh. And he told about the features of the journalist's work in such conflict situations.

Artem Otiuskii is one of the six winners-participants, whom, according to the results of the final of the Fact-check Investigation Competition from "Bez Brehni" were given an opportunity to take an internship in the newspaper "TAZ" (Germany).
